Monday was a mixed day for my picks at Ballinrobe,in the 5.45 Prairie Dancer won. The Evens favourite made all the running going clear 2 out. He stayed on well in the closing stages easily beating Douglas Dc by 16 lengths. In the next Gjoumi was 6th. The 7/2 chance led early but she was passed 2 out soon weakening. Upfront Two Shoe Tom won by 3 1/4 lengths.
An early week double header takes place on Tuesday with 7 races at both Tipperary and Ballinrobe where there are two highlights.
Tipperary 6.15: Irish EBF Median Sires Series Race.
5: Lady Tilbury: Showed promise on debut when 2nd at Dundalk and built on that to win at Cork 25 days ago. She quickened to lead from a furlong out eventually coming home by 3 lengths. She looks like the one to beat with further improvement likely.
Ballinrobe 6.35: Mchale Mayo National Handicap Chase.
6: Ilikedwayurthinkin: A course and distance winner in his career who was a very good second in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle at Aintree 52 days ago. He switches back to chasing here and should go one better over the larger obstacles.
