On Saturday at Thurles both my picks finished 2nd. Korinthia was 3rd at halfway making headway to lead from three out, the 6/5 favourite was passed on the run-in by Amen Kete who won by 2 1/4 lengths. In the other race Fiver Friday was 5th early improving into 2nd approaching the straight, the 3/1 shot disputed the lead from 2 out but made no impression close to home allowing Kotkito Bello to pull away and win by a comfortable 8 1/2 lengths.
After today's action Irish racing takes a Christmas break. There are meetings at Fakenham and Lingfield on Sunday with Lingfield, Huntingdon, Musselburgh and Wolverhampton on Monday. The next Irish cards are at Down Royal, Leopardstown and Limerick on Boxing Day tips for the highlights will be up on Christmas eve.
