An excellent day saw all 3 of my picks win, in the first Group 2 Art Power sat 2nd early improving to lead from 2 out. He moved clear a furlong from the finish comfortably beating Go Athletico by 4 1/4 lengths. The Irish Oaks saw Savethelastdance track the leaders in 3rd, the 10/11 favourite dropped to 4th 2 out but improved entering the final furlong. She kept on strongly moving into the lead in the final 50 yards beating Bluestocking by 1/2 a length. The other pick Emily Dickinson was 5th at halfway making good progress from 2 out. The 6/4 favourite challenged and led soon after keeping on well and easily coming home by 3 lengths.
Eight more races take place at The Curragh on Sunday with 2 taking centre stage.
3.00: Romanised Minstrel Stakes (Group 2)
6: Jumbly: A smart filly who was a respectable 4th behind Rogue Millennium in the Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot when last seen 32 days ago. She weakened close to home so the drop back to 7 furlongs here should definitely suit and she has a decent chance to pick up her fifth career win.
4.00: Michael John Kennedy Memorial Stakes (Group 3)
4: Cadeau Belle: Has impressed on both her starts winning at Gowran Park on debut and following up with a victory in listed company at Navan 32 days ago. The step up to group level here shouldn’t be a problem and with plenty more to come she can complete a hat-trick.
