At Ballinrobe on Tuesday the best came from Can't Stop Smiling who was 2nd, the 7/4 favourite was at the rear making headway into 4th at halfway. She dropped to 5th at the last but railed into 2nd inside the final furlong. She kept on without reaching the winner Influential Lady who came home by 3 3/4 lengths. The other pick Killeemore Lad was 5th in a race won by Calido who beat Lady of The Vale by an easy 14 lengths.
Wednesday's destination is Naas where on a 8 race card 2 stand out.
5.15: Arqana Irish EBF Marwell Stakes.
6: Storm Miami: Looked a decent prospect when winning over course and distance on debut 18 days ago. She travelled well challenging in the final 100 yards leading close to home winning by a short head. There is definitely plenty more to come with the step up to listed level not being a problem just making her the pick.
6.20: Yeomanstown Stud Irish EBF Stakes.
7: Lady Onyx: A winner on debut at Gowran Park in May and was a good 3rd behind Vetiver in a listed race at Carlisle when last seen 28 days ago. She had every chance a furlong out but stayed on at one pace inside the final furlong. Her yard is having a good spell and with more to offer she can win again on only her 4th start.
