The best on Saturday came in the Goffs Million where Cherry Blossom finished 2nd, the 1/1 favourite tracked the leaders early sitting 5th at halfway. She improved to briefly lead a furlong out but was soon passed making no further impression, One Look easily won by 6 lengths. The days other two picks Stromberg and Mica Malpic both came fifth.
There are 8 more races at The Curragh on Sunday with 3 taking centre stage.
2.25: Weld Park Stakes (Group 3)
6: Sakti: A promising horse who has been second on both her starts including behind Vespertilio in the Debutante Stakes over course and distance when last seen 36 days ago. She was clear of the rest and with plenty more to come she looks like the one to beat here.
3.00: Westgrove Hotel Renaissance Stakes (Group 3)
6: Ocean Quest: A smart filly who has been a course winner, she took her form to a new level when picking up a career best victory in the Ballyogan Stakes at Naas last time comfortably beating Aussie Girl by 3 3/4 lengths. Even more improvement is expected here and this likeable horse definitely has the ability to follow up.
4.10: Friends Of The Curragh Irish Cesarewitch.
11: Teed Up: Continued his good year when winning at Galway 49 days ago, he led at the last going clear and coming home by 3 1/2 lengths. He should carry on his progression here back on the flat and is the pick in a competitive renewal of this race.
