The best on a poor Tuesday at Limerick came from Mitiva who was 4th, the 3/1 shot was 3rd at halfway but she made no impression before 2 out keeping on at one pace while upfront Mount Frisco beat In The Trenches by 3 lengths. In the 4.20 Machismo was 5th in a race won by The Dancing Tree who beat Half A Chance by 6 1/2 lengths.
We end January with 8 races at Dundalk on Wednesday where there are 2 main events.
1.30: View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Maiden.
3: Mint Man: A horse in useful form who was a good second on this course when last seen 2 weeks ago. He led early being challenged inside the final furlong, he was passed in the last 100 yards only going down by a neck. He sets the standard here and with more to come he can go one better and pick up his 1st career win.
4.35: Dundalk Winter Series Leading Trainer & Jockey Championship Handicap.
5: Prisoner's Dilemma: A 3-time course and distance winner who was a creditable 3rd here 12 days ago. He made headway from 2 out and despite being 8th entering the closing stages he kept on well inside the final 150 yards taking 3rd close to home. The return to 7f should suit just giving him the vote.
