14/6/24 Fairyhouse & Cork

Our Thursday winner at Leopardstown was Mutasarref. The 5/4 favourite made a good start sitting 3rd at halfway, he ran well to lead from a furlong out and despite being strongly pressed he kept on well in the closing stages beating Special Wan by a head. In the other race Gazelle D'or was 7th with the contest going to Transcending who beat Nermansa by 5 1/2 lengths.

A busy Friday sees 8 races at Fairyhouse and 7 at Cork with 3 features.

Fairyhouse 4.30: Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden.

5: Fiery Lucy: A decent-looking horse who was an excellent 2nd on debut at Cork 24 days ago. She was fifth at halfway travelling well in the final furlong taking 2nd close to home. Improvement is likely here going up in trip and she tops the shortlist.

Cork 6.33: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Midsummer Sprint Stakes.

4: Clarendon House: A smart horse who was impressive when winning at York's Dante meeting in May making headway to lead in the final 100 yards and coming home by 1 1/4 lengths. He was very slowly away and never recovered finishing last in the dash at Epsom 2 weeks ago but as long as that was a one-off then he is a big player here.

Cork 7.08: Darley Munster Oaks Stakes (Group 3)

5: Sumiha: A highly promising horse who was a good second in a listed race at The Curragh 20 days ago. She was clear of the rest there and with more still to come she can go one better here.
