A poor Friday saw Snapdragon finish 6th in a race won by Beckman who beat Distant Seas by 3/4 of a length while in the later race Grappa Nonino was 7th with the contest going to Golden Temple who beat The Truant by a neck.
The action continues at The Curragh on Saturday with 8 races and 3 highlights.
2.20: Airlie Stud Stakes (Group 2)
3: California Dreamer: A promising horse who was an excellent fifth behind Fairy Godmother in the Albany at Royal Ascot just 8 days ago. She was always prominent just having no extra in the final 110 yards. She definitely ran better than expected and as long as this hasn't come too soon she is the one to beat here.
2.55: Al Basti Equiworld Dubai International Stakes (Group 3)
7: Jan Brueghel: A good horse who impressed when winning over course and distance on debut 5 weeks ago. He was 2nd early improving to lead from two out, he soon went clear easily coming home by 8 lengths. He should take the step up in his stride and with more to come he can follow up here.
3.30: Cairn Community Games Pretty Polly Stakes (Group 1)
1: Bluestocking: An excellent filly who picked up a career best win in the Group 2 Middleton Stakes at York when last seen 44 days ago. She led from 2 out pulling away in the closing stages beating Free Wind by 6 lengths. That performance caught the eye and she should build on it here adding a 3rd win to her record.
