Wednesday's best at Gowran Park came from Dignam who was 2nd. The 9/4 favourite was prominent leading for a second time entering the straight, he was passed 2 out keeping on at one pace allowing Nancy J to win by a neck. In the other race Azada was a non-runner.
A Thursday double header sees 8 races at Dundalk and 7 at Tramore with 2 features.
Dundalk 5.10: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Red God Handicap.
2: Shamwari: A course and distance winner in his career who was a bit below form when finishing 3rd here on his last outing back in April. He tracked the leaders sitting 4th entering the straight, he took 3rd a furlong out keeping on at one pace. Despite being off 132 days he shouldn’t be overlooked on handicap debut and he can take this.
Tramore 6.50: Waterford FC Handicap Hurdle.
8: Red Glory: A horse with a good recent record who picked up a career best win at Killarney a month ago. He led for a third time on the run-in staying on well to win by 1/2 a length. A 5lb rise shouldn’t affect him and he looks like the one to beat here on his follow up bid.
