Wednesday's winner at Sligo was Morricone. The 9/4 favourite was always prominent leading from 2 out, he was passed approaching the last but led again on the run-in keeping on well beating Luimneach by 1/2 a length. In the other race Benjis Benefit was 12th with the contest going to High Honour who beat Mephisto by a neck.
There are 8 races at Killarney and 7 at Leopardstown on Thursday with 2 main events.
Killarney 5.06: GMIB Handicap Hurdle.
8: Je T'ai Porte: Picked up her latest win at Roscommon in June and was a creditable 2nd over course and distance when last seen 34 days ago. She led early but was passed 2 out keeping on at one pace. She switches to hurdles here and on form she has a good chance.
Leopardstown 6.25: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Vinnie Roe Stakes.
3: Birdman: A promising horse who has two wins from three runs this year. He was a good 3rd behind Illinois in the Queens Vase at Royal Ascot on his last outing 64 days ago and with more to offer he looks like the one to beat here.
