The best on Monday at Gowran Park came from I Can Imagine who was 2nd. The 7/2 shot was 3rd at halfway improving to lead narrowly from a furlong out, she kept on in the closing stages being passed close to home by Pretty Lavish who won by 1 1/4 lengths. The other pick Light As Air was 3rd in a race won by Viking Invasion who beat Saints N Scholars by 6 lengths.
There are 8 races at The Curragh on Tuesday with 2 main events.
12.30: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
4: Hostility: A lightly-raced horse who was a very good second at Listowel when last seen a month ago. He led from 2 out but came under pressure soon after being passed a furlong from the finish, despite having no extra in the closing stages he sets the standard here and with improvement likely he can go one better.
1.30: Staffordstown Stud Stakes (Group 3)
7: Giselle: A horse with promise who won on this course on her last outing 17 days ago. She led from 2 out asserting herself in the final 150 yards, she had a reduced advantage close to home but still won by 3/4 of a length. The step up in class and trip here shouldn't be a problem and she can follow up.
