On Sunday both my picks finished 4th. At Wexford Music Of Tara was 6th at halfway improving but keeping on at one pace on the run-in while upfront Watch The Weather won beating Mr Saxobeat by an easy 6 lengths. Over at Galway Neveradullmoment travelled well and had every chance entering the straight, the 2/1 favourite had no extra in the closing stages allowing Grandero Bello to win beating Tyre Kicker by 3/4 of a length.
There are 8 races at Galway and 7 at Wexford on Monday with 2 standing out.
Galway 12.30: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
4: Bint Majestic Roi: A lightly-raced horse who showed improvement when 4th at Cork 27 days ago. She tracked the leaders sitting 3rd at halfway, she dropped to 4th a furlong out keeping on at one pace. Two in front of her that day have won since so taking that into account she can pick up her 1st career win here.
Wexford 3.20: Michael Hickey Memorial Chase.
1: Corbetts Cross: A high-class chaser who won the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival coming home by 17 lengths before ending his season with an excellent 3rd behind Gerri Colombe in the Bowl Chase at Aintree in April. He should take this on his return before moving onto bigger things again.
