After another day off Irish racing returns on Thursday with 7 contests at Gowran Park where 2 take centre stage.
2.13: John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle (Grade 2)
2: Hiddenvalley Lake: A lightly-raced horse who has been in good form recently. He was 3rd in a Grade 1 at Aintree at the end of last season and followed that up with an excellent 2nd in the Long Walk at Ascot on his return 33 days ago. He was in midfield early there staying on well to take 2nd close to home only going down by a head. He can build on that and go one better here.
2.48: Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase (Grade 3)
2: Nick Rockett: A decent horse who was a creditable 4th in a listed race at Leopardstown when last seen 27 days ago. He led for a second time entering the straight being passed before the last keeping on at one pace and dropping to 4th. He definitely has the ability to win a race like this and he can show that here by taking this big pot.
