Neither of Saturday's tips ran because the meeting at Cork was called off. After an overnight frost parts of the track were frozen and unfit for racing. The card has yet to be rearranged.
After today's abandonment there are due to be 7 races at Naas on Sunday and if an inspection is passed then we will have 2 main events.
1.25: Racing Post Novice Chase (Grade 2)
3: Inthepocket: A decent hurdler who's standout win was in the Grade 1 Top Novices Hurdle at Aintree back in April 2023. He returned after nearly a year off to win a beginners chase at Wexford in October where he made all the running jumping well and coming home by an impressive 15 lengths. Further progress is expected and he can follow up here.
1.55: Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle (Grade 1)
2: Jasmin De Vaux: A smart horse who won the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March. He bounced back from a defeat at Punchestown to win on hurdles debut at Navan 29 days ago overcoming a couple of mistakes to go clear inside the final furlong staying on strongly and winning by 4 1/4 lengths. The trip here should suit and he can win again.
