After a 3 day break Irish racing returns on Thursday with 8 contests at Clonmel where there are 2 features.
3.12: Ballymacarbry Beginners Chase.
8: Rath Gaul Boy: A promising horse who's last win came over hurdles at Ffos Las. He was a creditable 3rd on fences debut at Punchestown 35 days ago where he disputed the lead early sitting 2nd two out, he dropped to 3rd inside the final furlong having no extra. He goes up in trip here and with progress expected he can pick up a 4th career win.
3.42: Careys Castle Handicap Chase.
9: Doonbeg Don: A decent horse who was a very good 2nd at Down Royal when last seen 65 days ago. He was 2nd at halfway challenging entering the straight, he was passed two out making no impression from the last. Despite a 2lb weight rise he has an excellent chance and he can win again here.
