The best on Monday at Roscommon came from Zenta who was 3rd. The 8/11 favourite disputed the lead early but some poor jumping saw her passed at the 6th, she made no impression dropping to 3rd three out and having no extra. Upfront Pied Piper beat Midnight Moonshine by a very easy 27 lengths. In the Connacht National Beggars Rock was 7th with the race going to Mica Malpic who beat Ambitious Fellow by 1 1/4 lengths.
Tuesday sees 7 races at Sligo with 2 main events.
5.28: Knocknarea Claiming Hurdle.
2: Lightkeeper: A useful chaser who despite being pulled up on his last two starts did win previously including at Wexford in April. He challenged entering the straight leading before 2 out, he asserted himself keeping on strongly and easily coming home by 8 lengths. He returns to hurdles here for an in form yard and can get back to winning ways.
6.28: RSS Record Storage Service Maiden Hurdle.
6: Quantum Boy: A good points winner who disappointed at Punchestown on rules debut 38 days ago. He tracked the leader early sitting 2nd three out, he soon made no impression being eased down in the final furlong eventually finishing 16th. He should leave that well behind here on his first hurdles start and he is worth another chance to open his account.
