Friday's winner came at Down Royal where Killourney Reigns travelled well sitting 3rd two out. The 6/4 favourite led soon after staying on well in the closing stages beating Baker Blue by 1 1/4 lengths. Over at Kilbeggan Paul's Dream was 2nd, the 3/1 shot was 7th at halfway making headway into 2nd two out. He led narrowly but was passed after the last by Zillow who won by 3 1/4 lengths.
A quiet weekend begins with 8 races at Navan on Saturday where we have 2 features.
1.45: Irish EBF Auction Series Fillies Maiden.
6: Treasured Royal: A decent horse who was an encouraging 5th on debut at The Curragh 3 weeks ago. She made progress from 2 out taking 2nd soon after, despite a poor last 100 yards she will have learnt lots and with improvement likely she can pick up a 1st career win here.
2.15: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Race.
7: Cactus: A promising horse who was a good 3rd over course and distance 9 days ago. She recovered after being hampered at the start to sit 3rd 1 1/2 out, she made no impression close to home keeping on at one pace. Looking at this field she is a big player who gets the vote here.
