17/10/25 Dundalk

An excellent Thursday saw both my picks win. At The Curragh Unique Journey was 4th at halfway improving to lead from 2 out, the 10/3 favourite asserted himself in the final furlong comfortably beating Jon Riggens by 2 3/4 lengths. Over at Thurles Hewick made all the running going clear from 2 out, the 8/15 favourite stayed on well beating the only other finisher Moon D'orange by 4 1/4 lengths.

On Friday there are 8 races at Dundalk with 2 highlights.

5.45: Michael And Esther Cooney Memorial Handicap.

1: Star Harbour: A fair horse who's latest win came towards the end of last year. He was a creditable 2nd on this course a week ago leading narrowly from a furlong out but being passed close to home going down by a short head. He can build on that here and go one better.

6.15: Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Book Now Nursery Handicap.

3: You'll Think Of Me: A lightly-raced horse who improved from her debut when 2nd at Naas in August running just as well to finish 3rd on the same course last month. The step back up to 7 furlongs here is in her favour and she can pick up a first career win on nursery debut.
