31/10/25 Down Royal & Dundalk

Our winner at Thurles on Thursday was Found A Diamond. The 5/6 favourite was 2nd at halfway and despite a slight mistake 3 out he stayed on to challenge at the last leading on the run-in and beating Rebel Budz by 1 1/2 lengths. The days other pick Garahon was 6th in a race won by The First Turn who beat Lennon Grove by 3/4 of a length.

Day one of the Betvictor Festival Of Racing at Down Royal takes centre stage on Friday where on a 7 race card 2 stand out.

2.02: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Feathard Lady Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3)

2: Carrigmoornaspruce: A useful horse who made a good start over hurdles when winning at Listowel 36 days ago. She led early and was 3 lengths clear before the last, she kept on well on the run-in comfortably coming home by 5 1/2 lengths. Despite this being a step up in class she can win again here.

2.37: Bottlegreen Hurdle.

1: The Yellow Clay: A smart hurdler who won his first four starts least season including a Grade one at Naas. He went on to finish an excellent 2nd behind The New Lion in the Turners Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival before falling at the last at Punchestown on his final outing. He sets a clear standard here and can return to winning ways.

There are also 7 races at Dundalk where in the 6.30 my pick is number 12 Collective Power.
