Irish racing returns on Thursday with 7 contests at Gowran Park where 2 stand out.
1.45: John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle (Grade 2.)
5: Staffordshire Knot: A horse in decent form who's last win came at Clonmel 7 weeks ago. He led approaching the straight asserting himself from 2 out, he kept on well on the run-in easily coming home by 10 lengths. The step up in class here shouldn’t be a problem and he can complete a hat-trick.
3.30: Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase (Grade 3.)
5: Captain Cody: A smart chaser who's best win to date was in last seasons Scottish Grand National. He was 3rd on his return in the Drinmore at Fairyhouse and was then 7th in the Paddy Power Chase over at Leopardstown last time. With conditions here sure to suit he can pick up a fifth career win.
