On Friday at Dundalk Valiant Force won. The 10/11 favourite was prominent challenging from 2 out, he led soon after keeping on well and beating Kerdos by 4 1/4 lengths. The other pick Fate's Gambit was 5th in a race won by Dancing Saxon who beat Flanker Jet by a nose.

5: Dunleer Crystal: A useful horse who showed improvement when 2nd at Down Royal in December. He recovered from a mistake at the 3rd to sit 4th two out, he stayed on well on the run-in taking 2nd close to home. He goes slightly up in trip here which will suit and he can go one better.
4.00: BBA Ireland Limited Opera Hat Mares Chase.
2: Dinoblue: A fine horse who won the Cheltenham Festival Mares Chase in the spring before completing a hat-trick in a Grade 2 at Punchestown. She ran better than the result suggests when 2nd on her return at Navan in November and then she took a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse last time. She won this race 12 months ago and is the one to beat here.
