The best performance on Wednesday at Cork came from Midnight Toker who finished 2nd. The 2/1 shot tracked the leaders making headway from 2 out. He made no impression inside the final furlong keeping on at one pace, Open Market won by 3/4 of a length. In the 6.10 Joyous Moment came 11th. Despite being prominent early she dropped to the rear 2 out offering no extra. Upfront Neo Soul won by 1 1/2 lengths.
In a 7 race card at Tipperary on Thursday evening two contests standout.
6.55: Junction Handicap Hurdle.
1: Drumbear: Didn't need to be at his best when winning a novice hurdle at Sedgefield when last seen back in February. He was unchallenged and came home by a massive 24 lengths that day and despite this being his handicap hurdle debut he should be up to the task.
7.25: Tipperary Maiden Hurdle.
9: Run For Pat: Despite not yet tasting victory this lightly-raced horse brings some decent form here. He was 4th in a handicap hurdle at Ayr 16 days ago needing a stronger gallop to challenge. He wears blinkers for the first time and sets a good standard so can open his account back in maiden company.
