The best performance on Wednesday came from Bay Bridge who was 2nd at Ascot. The 10/11 favourite was 3rd in the opening portion of the race moving into 2nd two out. He stayed on in the final furlong never really having the pace to challenge, State Of Rest won by a length. In the other race at Ascot Bashkirova was 5th. The 5/2 joint favourite was slowly into her stride and despite some late headway she was never a factor,Saffron Beach won by 3 1/2 lengths. At Wexford Effernock Fizz was 4th.
Royal Ascot and Leopardstown both host 7 races on Thursday with another 3 features.
Royal Ascot 3.40: Ribblesdale Stakes (Group 2)
3: Magical Lagoon: A Group 3 winner last season who was only denied by a short head in a listed race at Navan on her reappearance in April. Her background suggests there is more to come and she gets the nod here as this new trip should suit.
Royal Ascot 4.20: Gold Cup (Group 1)
3: Stradivarius: Despite failing to win this race for a 4th time 12 months ago he showed why he is still one of the best stayers around with a 3rd win in the Yorkshire Cup on his reappearance last month. He might be 8 but in his farewell season he is the pick.
Leopardstown 5.15: Irish EBF Auction Series Race.
2: Cash Or Crypto: Looked impressive when winning on debut at Listowel 12 days ago. He was a comfortable 1 1/4 lengths in front and with improvement expected he should follow up here.
