It was a good start to Royal Ascot on Tuesday with Baaeed winning. The 1/6 favourite was in a good position leading from a furlong out. He pushed on leaving the field behind to impressively win by 1 3/4 lengths making it 8 victory’s in a row. In the 3.40 Golden Pal had a poor start but improved to have every chance 2 out. However he weakened in the final furlong finishing 16th. Nature Strip won the race by 4 1/2 lengths. The 4.20 saw Coroebus win. The 10/11 favourite was always in touch leading entering the final furlong. He beat Lusail by a head. In the feature at Roscommon Siberian Prince was a non-runner.
There are seven races at both Royal Ascot and Wexford on Wednesday with 3 highlights.
Royal Ascot 3.40: Prince Of Wales's Stakes (Group 1)
1: Bay Bridge: Has won his last 5 starts and was impressive when he took the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown on his return 3 weeks ago. He came home by 5 lengths that day and despite this being faster ground he is definitely a Group one winner in the making.
Royal Ascot 4.20: Duke Of Cambridge Stakes (Group 2)
3: Bashkirova: Won her first three starts as a 3yo and resumed winning ways when taking the Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom earlier this month. She was a comfortable 1 1/4 lengths in front and can take another step forward here despite the quick turnaround.
Wexford 7.00: Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Chase.
4: Effernock Fizz: Was a very good second behind Ganapathi in a novice chase on this course a week ago. She makes her handicap chase debut here and can definitely build on that run.
