On a mixed Friday at Dundalk the best performance came from Anann who won, the 5/1 shot led after 2 furlongs going clear 1 1/2 out. She stayed on well inside the final furlong and despite having a reduced advantage close to home she beat Ninth Life by 1/2 a length. In the other race Leclerc was 7th, the 5/2 favourite was briefly 4th a furlong out but had no extra soon after. Upfront Dutch Glory beat The Cola Brasil by a head.
The weekend begins with 7 races at Cork on Saturday where there are 2 main events.
2.12: Racing Again March 23rd Handicap Hurdle.
7: Takarengo: A course and distance winner who was a respectable 7th at Leopardstown when last seen just 10 days ago. He goes to post here off a 2lb lower mark and should capitalise picking up another victory on a track he enjoys.
3.22: Annual Membership Available Handicap Chase.
8: Ballyadam Destiny: Picked up his latest win in a hurdle at Galway in October and was a good third in this sphere at Limerick 9 days ago. He went off as favourite there making headway approaching the straight and he wasn’t disgraced. After that decent return over the larger Obstacles he gets the nod here to get back to winning ways.
