The only winner on Sunday at Navan was Churchstonewarrior, the 9/4 shot was always prominent leading from 3 out. He made a slight mistake at the next but stayed on well under pressure on the run-in beating Mahler Mission by 3/4 of a length. In the other race Saint Sam was a disappointing 5th, the 1/1 favourite was up with the leaders early but dropped to the rear of midfield at the 4th. He made a slight mistake 4 out which dropped him to 6th and another mistake 2 out ended any hope and he made no further impression. Upfront Blazing Khal won the race beating Meet And Greet by 3 lengths a successful return after 428 days off due to injury.
After another excellent weekend Irish racing takes a 2 day break. Meetings do take place at Plumpton, Catterick and Wolverhampton on Monday and Lingfield, Ayr and Newcastle on Tuesday. The next Irish card is at Dundalk on Wednesday tips for the features will be up on Tuesday night.
