It was another poor day on Wednesday where the best at Gowran Park came from State's Evidence who was 6th. The 4/1 shot tracked the leaders and sat 5th at halfway. He made no impression from a furlong out keeping on at one pace, Asian Daze took the contest beating School Of Law by 2 3/4 lengths. In the 5.10 Lust was a non-runner in a race won by Spanish Tenor who beat Facethepuckout by 3/4 of a length.
A Thursday double header sees 8 races at Leopardstown and 7 at Tramore with 2 features.
Leopardstown 6.05: Bahrain Turf Club Desmond Stakes (Group 3)
5: Villanova Queen: A useful filly who has 2 wins from 4 runs this year her last was a career best at Royal Ascot 57 days ago. She made headway entering the final furlong leading towards the finish and coming home by 1/2 a length. She has also been a course and distance winner and has the ability to follow up here.
Tramore 6.49: Tramore Directors Handicap Hurdle.
1: Royal Eagle: A decent horse who continued her good year with a creditable 3rd at the Galway festival earlier this month. She ran an excellent race there and can get back to winning ways here in this less-compeditive contest.
