18/8/23 Tramore & Cork

Thursday's winner came at Tramore where Royal Eagle was in touch sitting 3rd three out. She improved to lead soon after asserting herself before the last, she kept on well and the 2/1 favourite beat Tom McGreevy by 3 lengths. In the Group 3 at Leopardstown Villanova Queen was 7th in a race won by Lord Massusus who beat Alfred Munnings by 1 1/2 lengths.

Two more meetings take place on Friday with 7 races on a second day at Tramore and 8 at Cork with 2 standing out.

Tramore 4.25: EY Chase.

4: Salvador Ziggy: A promising horse who put in his best performance of the year when winning on fences debut at Punchestown 68 days ago. He led for a second time 3 out and was soon clear staying on well and comfortably coming home by 5 1/2 lengths. He looks set for bigger things in this sphere and is the one to beat here.

Cork 5.52: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Give Thanks Stakes (Group 3)

8: Library: A smart filly who's latest win came at Naas in June and she was then an excellent third behind stablemate Savethelastdance in the Irish Oaks at The Curragh when last seen 27 days ago. She goes down in class and is hard to look past here.
