The best on Friday came at Downpatrick where Ceanndana was 3rd, the 11/8 favourite recovered from a poor start to make progress from 4 out. She went into 3rd approaching two out keeping on but making no impression, upfront Finnians Row beat Jenny Flex by 2 lengths. Over at Ballinrobe Something Abouther was 5th in a race won by Ballybawn Belter who beat Shannon Glory by an easy 6 lengths.
After the meeting at Gowran Park was abandoned due to a waterlogged track there are just 8 races at Navan on Saturday with two highlights.
2.10: Bar One Racing Guaranteed Overnight Prices Hurdle.
3: Nyiri: A useful winner in France who ran well on his first start for Willie Mullins when 4th at Cork 40 days ago. He was 3rd before the last dropping to 4th close to home, that was his return after 4 months off and with further progress to come this is a good opportunity to open his Irish account.
2.45: Bar One Racing Ladies Handicap Hurdle.
10: First Dare: A decent horse who was a very good second on heavy ground at Tramore when last seen 29 days ago. She led from 5 out but was strongly pressed approaching the last being passed in the final 100 yards. A repeat of that performance should see her challenge here and go one better.
