An excellent Sunday at Naas saw both my picks win, in the 2.10 Zarak The Brave wasn't fluent but made headway approaching the straight. The 2/5 favourite led narrowly at the last keeping on well to beat Tellmesomthinggirl by 1 1/4 lengths. In the other Grade 3 Embassy Gardens was 2nd early travelling well to lead before the last. The 8/13 favourite asserted himself on the run-in easily beating Sandor Clegane by 10 lengths.
Another week begins with 7 races at Punchestown on Monday where there are 2 features.
2.10: Download The Betvictor App Mares Maiden Hurdle.
1: Bioluminscence: A promising horse who finished a good second on hurdles debut at Navan 71 days ago. She was always prominent improving to go 2nd before the last but despite keeping on well on the run-in she couldn’t reach the winner going down by a length. The longer trip here should suit and she looks like the one to beat.
3.10: Punchestown Members Club From 215 Rated Novice Hurdle.
2: Champagne Admiral: A useful hurdler who has 2 wins from 4 runs this season his last was a career best at Leopardstown 31 days ago. He made all the running and despite coming under pressure on the run-in he stayed on strongly to come home by 1 1/4 lengths. He should make his presence felt here and can complete a hat-trick.
