18/7/24 Killarney & Leopardstown

The best finisher at Killarney on Wednesday was Sakti who was 2nd. The 10/3 shot sat 3rd at halfway moving into 2nd a furlong out, she kept on well in the closing stages but made no impression on the winner Greenfinch who came home by 2 1/4 lengths. In the other race Green Triangle failed to finish, the 11/10 favourite was 6 lengths clear when he ran out through the rail inside the final 50 yards handing Lambourn victory he beat J'Adore Chris by 3/4 of a length.

Another double header takes place on Thursday with 7 races at Killarney and 8 at Leopardstown with 2 features.

Killarney 5.32: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Hurdle.

5: Redwood Queen: A useful hurdler who has 3 wins from 4 runs this year completing a hat-trick at Listowel in June. Despite not getting the 4-timer when 3rd at Bellewstown 12 days ago she wasn't disgraced and setting a high standard she can quickly resume winning ways here.

Leopardstown 6.50: Meld Stakes (Group 3)

5: Diego Velazquez: A smart horse who made a promising return when 4th at Longchamp in May but hasn't quite built on that since. He was 10th in the King Edward when last seen at Royal Ascot 27 days ago but going down in trip here and with conditions expected to suit he should get back on track with a 3rd career win.
