22/7/24 Ballinrobe

Another good day at The Curragh saw two more of my picks win. In the early Group 3 Babouche made good headway sitting 4th at halfway, she improved to lead narrowly a furlong out keeping on best under pressure in the closing stages beating Camille Pissarro by 1/2 a length. In the days Group 2 Poet Master was 2nd three out travelling well to lead soon after, he asserted himself a furlong out easily beating Lord Massusus by 3 3/4 lengths. The other pick Jackie Oh was 4th in a race won by Royal Dress who beat American Sonja by 2 3/4 lengths.

There are 7 races at Ballinrobe on Monday night with 2 standing out.

5.40: Tote Never Beaten By SP Maiden.

7: Thompson Gunner: A well-bred horse who was 4th on debut on this course a month ago. He was always prominent challenging inside the final furlong, he had no extra close to home dropping to 4th. That was a promising start and with cheekpieces on for the 1st time he just gets the vote here.

7.10: Follow Tote Racing On Twitter Handicap.

4: See Me Through: A horse with a good recent record who after winning at Killarney in May was an excellent 2nd here when last seen 4 weeks ago. He led early but was passed 1 1/2 out, he was hampered in the final 150 yards meaning he had no extra in the closing stages. He goes significantly up in trip here and can continue his decent form by returning to winning ways.
