Friday's winner came at Cork where Kendall Roy was in midfield early improving to lead from a furlong out, the 5/2 favourite stayed on well in the closing stages beating So Majestic by 1 1/4 lengths. Over at Kilbeggan Smiling Bess was 2nd with Jumping Susie taking the contest by 3 3/4 lengths.
A quiet weekend begins with 8 races at Gowran Park on Saturday where there are 2 features.
1.42: Irish EBF Auction Series Fillies Maiden.
3: Canto Della Terra: A good horse who was a promising second on debut at Fairyhouse 50 days ago. She was fifth at halfway improving early in the straight, she kept on well inside the final furlong just failing to reach Easy Mover who won by a head. She is the clear pick on form here and she should go one better.
3.25: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Marble City Stakes.
4: The Euphrates: A useful colt who has been a course winner in his career. He was 6th behind Los Angeles in the Irish Derby at The Curragh when last seen 27 days ago having no extra in the final furlong. The drop back to listed level here should suit and he can win again.
