Thursday's best came in the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown where Bedtime Story won. The 1/16 favourite was 3rd early travelling well to lead from a furlong out, she stayed on strongly easily coming home by 3 1/2 lengths. In the days other Group 3 Surpass was 3rd in a race won by Hotazhell who beat Swagman by 1 1/2 lengths while over at Wexford Tullyveery Lad was 2nd with Bigira winning crossing the line 1 1/2 lengths in front.
The weeks 3rd double header takes place on Friday where we have 7 races at Cork and 8 at Kilbeggan with 2 standing out.
Cork 6.00: Doneraile Handicap.
3: Kendall Roy: A decent horse who has 3 wins from 6 runs this year his latest coming at The Curragh last month. He led from a furlong out staying on well close to home winning by 1/2 a length. He was a good second on the same course just 5 days ago and can quickly return to winning ways here.
Kilbeggan 6.55: Tote Handicap Hurdle.
6: Smiling Bess: A useful horse who didn't need to be at her best when finally opening her account on this course 2 weeks ago. She challenged before the last travelling well to lead on the line beating Churchwarden by a short head. She makes her handicap hurdle debut here and should follow up.
