A decent Sunday saw two of my picks win. At Naas Caught U Looking was 3rd at halfway leading from 2 1/2 out, the 16/5 favourite soon asserted himself keeping on well to beat Galileo Dame by 4 lengths. Over at Cork The Banger Doyle was 4th at halfway improving into 2nd three out, the 11/4 favourite was 3 lengths behind when a faller at the last left him in the lead and he easily won by 12 lengths. In the other races Sakti was 2nd losing the lead a furlong out to Azada who won by 2 lengths while Chemistry was 15th in a race that went to Comfort Zone who beat Toll Stone by 1 3/4 lengths.
On Monday there are 8 races at Roscommon with 2 features.
1.35: Roscommon Racecourse (C & G) Maiden.
5: Silent Guardian: A lightly-raced horse who finished a decent 4th at The Curragh when last seen 2 weeks ago. He tracked the leaders early sitting 5th three out, he kept on at the same pace in the final furlong but he did beat the reopposing Thequietman who was back in 12th. He goes back down in trip here and can pick up his 1st career win.
4.10: Roscommon Rated Race.
3: Hello Neighbour: A good-looking horse who won on debut at Navan 23 days ago. He ran well to lead from 2 out and despite being strongly pressed in the closing stages he kept on close to home winning by 1/2 a length. He goes down in trip here and has the ability to follow up.
