Saturday's winner at Gowran Park was The Big Chap. The 5/2 shot was 2nd at halfway making headway to lead from 3 out, he asserted himself before the last keeping on well to beat Gaelic Arc by 4 1/4 lengths. The other pick Air Drop was 5th in a race won by Nara who beat Dame Rapide by an easy 7 1/2 lengths.
There are 8 races at Naas on Sunday with 2 taking centre stage.
2.00: Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle.
1: Happy Jacky: A decent horse who is having a good season so far. She was an excellent 2nd at Gowran Park when last seen 36 days ago leading for a second time 2 out being strongly pressed after the last and passed in the final 50 yards. She can carry on her fine run here and can go one better.
2.35: Barberstown Castle Chase (Grade 3)
4: Marine Nationale: A high-class horse who lost his unbeaten record when 5th behind Il Etait Temps in the Grade 1 Irish Arkle at Leopardstown back in February. He was 3rd at halfway but a mistake at the last ended his chances. Despite being off 9 months he is the one to beat and he should pick up a 7th career win here.
