Friday's best at Dundalk came from Fivefortwo who won. The 15/8 favourite was always prominent challenging from 2 out, he led narrowly entering the closing stages pulling away to beat Plunder by 3/4 of a length. In the other race Cloud Cover was 3rd with Sakti taking the contest beating Vivienda by a length.
The weekend begins with 8 races at Gowran Park on Saturday where 2 stand out.
11.52am: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase.
2: Air Drop: A decent winner over hurdles who has taken to fences well. She was in the lead when unseating her rider 2 out in a Grade 3 at Punchestown last month but that can be discounted and she should be judged on her runs before that. She is on the up and should open her fences account here.
1.02: Noreside Catering Handicap Chase.
1: The Big Chap: A good horse who disappointed when finishing 4th in a Grade 2 at Down Royal a week ago. He didn't enjoy the step up to a higher level but if he can put in the same performance that saw him come home by 4 1/4 lengths at Limerick in October then he can get back to winning ways here.
