Our winner on Thursday came in the Clonmel Oil Chase where Saint Sam made all the running gaining a 2 length advantage at halfway, the 6/4 favourite asserted himself from 2 out keeping on well on the run-in and easily beating Fil Dor by 6 1/2 lengths. In the other race Allegorie De Vassy was 4th with the contest going to Pink In The Park who beat Must Be Obeyed by 4 lengths.
Eight races take place at Dundalk on Friday night with 2 features.
6.30: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cooley Fillies Stakes.
2: Cloud Cover: A useful filly who has two wins from six runs this year. She ran better than the result suggests when 9th at Southwell 3 weeks ago, she was short of room a furlong out and never challenged. She has an excellent record on the All-weather and can add to that here.
7.00: Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) Maiden.
5: Fivefortwo: A promising horse who was 3rd over course and distance when last seen 2 weeks ago. He was 8th a furlong out and despite keeping on at one pace he took 3rd close to home. He has progressed with each run and that should continue here and be enough for him to open his account.
