16/11/24 Navan

Friday's best came at Punchestown where Sounds Victorius was 2nd. The 2/5 favourite sat 3rd early improving into 2nd 4 out, he recovered from a mistake to briefly dispute the lead at the last. He had no extra inside the final furlong allowing Rockymoutainbleu to win by 4 1/2 lengths. Over at Dundalk Cradle Of Love was 6th in a race won by Dark Ace who beat Sounds Like A Plan by 1 1/4 lengths.

Two days of top-class action at Navan begins on Saturday with 8 races and 2 standing out.

1.58: Railway Bar Lismullen Hurdle (Grade 2)

2: Bob Olinger: An excellent horse who won this race on reappearance last season before going on to win the Grade 2 Relkeel at Cheltenham beating Marie's Rock by 7 lengths. He was narrowly beaten into 2nd by Impaire Et Passe in a Grade 1 at Aintree on his final outing in April and he should defend his crown here.

2.33: Bar One Racing Fortria Chase (Grade 2)

4: Gentleman De Mee: A high-class chaser who has been a course and distance winner in his career. He was last seen finishing 3rd behind Ash Tree Meadow in a Grade 3 at Killarney back in May but if he can reproduce the form that saw him finish 2nd in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham then he is the one to beat here on his return.
