The best on Saturday at Navan came from Bob Olinger who was 2nd. The 11/8 favourite made good headway entering the straight sitting 3rd two out, he went into 2nd heading to the last but kept on at the same pace allowing Home By The Lee to win by 3 1/2 lengths. The days other race saw Gentleman De Mee finish 5th with the contest going to Found A Fifty who beat Solness by a neck.
Sunday sees 8 more races at Navan with 2 main events.
1.20: John Lynch Carpets & Flooring Monksfield Novice Hurdle (Grade 3)
7: The Yellow Clay: A promising horse who picked up a career best win on hurdles debut at Down Royal 2 weeks ago. He led from the 6th asserting himself from 2 out, he pulled clear on the run-in easily coming home by 9 lengths. His trainer is going well and with improvement expected he can follow up here.
2.30: Bar One Racing Troytown Handicap Chase (Grade 3)
2: American Mike: A decent horse who has been a course and distance winner in his career. He was last seen finishing 5th behind Spillane's Tower in a Grade 1 novice chase at Punchestown in April and despite being off since he can return to winning ways here on his 1st handicap chase start.
