Saturday's winner at Fairyhouse was Noble Birth. The 11/4 favourite led narrowly early increasing his advantage after the 8th, despite having a reduced lead from 2 out he asserted himself before the last keeping on well on the run-in comfortably beating Banjaxed by 4 1/4 lengths. In the days Grade 3 Midnight It Is was 3rd in a race won by The King Of Prs who beat Path D'Oroux by 2 3/4 lengths.
There are 7 races at Punchestown on Sunday where we have 2 highlights.
12.55: Sky Bet For The Fans Novice Chase (Grade 3)
1: Down Memory Lane: A decent horse who looked an exciting prospect when winning on chase debut at Navan in November. He made all the running staying on strongly in the closing stages and easily coming home by 7 lengths. He disappointed when 3rd in a Grade 1 at Sandown 36 days ago but going back up in trip here should suit and he can bounce back.
2.25: Sky Bet Club Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle (Grade 2)
5: Salvator Mundi: A promising horse who after finishing 6th in the Triumph Hurdle on debut for Willie Mullins went onto win by an unchallenged 62 lengths at Tipperary when last seen back in May. Despite being off 8 months he is the one to beat here on reappearance and he can show why he is the current favourite for the Supreme at the Cheltenham Festival.
