Another excellent day saw both my picks win. At Punchestown Slurricane was 3rd approaching halfway taking 2nd at the last, the 4/1 shot led on the run-in keeping on well under pressure beating Out For A Stroll by 1 1/4 lengths. Over at Dundalk Lost President was 3rd two out improving to lead soon after, he stayed on well in the final furlong to beat Amber Blossom by 3/4 of a length.
There are seven races at Limerick on Tuesday with two highlights.
3.40: Limerick Novice Handicap Hurdle.
2: The Dancing Tree: A useful winner on the flat who was a creditable 5th at Punchestown when last seen 16 days ago. He was in midfield early sitting 7th two out, he made no impression early in the straight but did move into 5th. He makes his handicap hurdle debut here and with improvement expected he can make it a winning one.
4.15: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction (Pro/Am) Flat Race.
1: Road Exile: A decent horse who impressed when second on debut here 31 days ago. He was 3rd at halfway leading from 2 out, he was strongly pressed being passed 150 yards from the finish. He rallied close to home only going down by a nose. He sets the standard here and should go one better.
