The best at Punchestown on Thursday came from Gaoth Chuil who was 3rd. The 7/4 shot led for a second time 2 out being passed entering the straight, she dropped to 3rd at the last keeping on at one pace. Upfront Jade De Grugy won beating Mousey Brown by a comfortable 6 lengths. In the other race Velvet Elvis was 8th with the contest going to Fortunedefortunate who beat Will Do by 2 1/4 lengths.
A Friday double header sees 8 races at both Punchestown and Dundalk with 2 highlights.
Punchestown 2.50: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle.
1: Familiar Dreams: A promising horse who's fifth career win came at Tramore back in August. She was a decent 3rd on hurdles debut here 25 days ago sitting 2nd at halfway but making no impression approaching the last dropping to 3rd on the run-in. She should improve and is the one to beat here.
Dundalk 5.00: Racing TV Club Day Handicap.
3: Jered Maddox: A course specialist who picked up his career best win over course and distance 2 weeks ago. He made headway from a furlong out keeping on well to lead in the closing stages beating the reopposing Never Shout Never by 1/2 a length. He can give another good account here and achieve a 9th course win.
