An excellent Friday at Dundalk saw both my picks win. In the early race Valiant Force made all the running and was a length clear at halfway, the 8/11 favourite kept on well inside the final furlong beating Harry's Bar by 4 3/4 lengths. The other pick Cee En Gee travelled well and was 2nd at halfway, the 4/7 favourite stayed on strongly leading close to home beating Ze Do Asfalto by a neck.
The weekend begins with 7 races at Naas on Saturday which includes 2 highlights.
1.55: Connolly's Red Mills Irish EBF Auction Novice Hurdle.
4: Koori Star: A useful hurdler who ran well to finish 4th at Navan when last seen 3 weeks ago. She made progress from 2 out sitting 8th before the last, despite keeping on at the same pace on the run-in she did move into 4th. She sets the standard here on her return to novice company and can pick up a 2nd career win.
4.15: BBA Ireland Limited Opera Hat Mares Chase.
2: Allegorie De Vassy: A smart chaser who improved on recent starts when winning a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day. She made all the running and was left clear 4 out, she stayed on strongly coming home by an unchallenged 25 lengths. She looks like the one to beat here and should follow up.
