The best on a very poor Friday at The Curragh came from Refreshment who was 10th in a race won by Moonhall Church who beat Empress Artemis by 3/4 of a length. The other pick Ribchestina was 13th with the contest going to Quadruple who beat Exquisite Acclaim by 2 3/4 lengths.
There is an 8 race card at The Curragh on Saturday where 2 take centre stage.
1.45: Airlie Stud Stakes (Group 2)
3: Lady Iman: A highly promising horse who completed a hat-trick in impressive fashion when taking a Group 3 at Naas 41 days ago. She was 4th at halfway improving to challenge from a furlong out, she led in the final 150 yards keeping on well and coming home by 3/4 of a length. She still has more to come and is hard to look past here as she bids for a 4-timer.
3.30: Paddy Power Pretty Polly Stakes (Group 1.)
7: Whirl: A decent filly who impressed when taking the Musidora at York in May. She led from 3 out soon going clear and comfortably winning by 5 1/2 lengths. She was last seen just failing to beat stablemate Minnie Hauk in the Oaks at Epsom earlier this month going down by a neck. She sets the standard here and can pick up a first Group 1.
