An excellent Sunday at The Curragh saw both my picks win. Keke travelled well disputing the lead from a furlong out, the 11/4 favourite hit the front in the closing stages staying on strongly to beat Red Evolution by a length. In the Irish Derby Lambourn was 2nd at halfway challenging from 4 out, the 8/13 favourite led 1 1/2 furlongs from the finish and despite being challenged he kept on well beating Serious Contender by 3/4 of a length.
After a busy weekend Irish racing takes a break on Monday. There are meetings at Pontefract, Ffos Las, Windsor and Wolverhampton. The next Irish cards are at Tipperary and Roscommon on Tuesday tips for the highlights will be up on Monday night.
