Friday's winner came at Fairyhouse where King Cuan was 2nd early travelling well to lead from a furlong out. The 10/11 favourite asserted himself in the final 150 yards easily beating Tango Flare by 2 1/2 lengths. Over at Clonmel Popova was 3rd in a race won by Oh So Charming who beat My Gaffer by a short head.
A busy Saturday sees 8 races at Punchestown and 7 at Navan with 2 taking centre stage.
Punchestown 2.20: Ladbrokes Handicap Chase.
1: Riggs: A horse who has shown improvement in recent runs culminating with a good win at Wexford 3 weeks ago. He recovered from a couple of mistakes making headway to lead early in the straight. He asserted himself before the last coming home by 6 1/2 lengths. Another bold bid is likely and he can complete a hat-trick here.
Navan 3.55: Darley Irish EBF Kooyonga Stakes.
12: Red Letter: A decent horse who has one win in her career. She wasn't seen at her best when 7th in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket on her return 34 days ago but she should be too good for this field and can get back to winning ways here.
