A good Saturday at The Curragh saw both my picks win, True Love was 3rd at halfway making headway to lead from a furlong out, the 1/2 favourite soon went clear easily beating Puerto Rico by 5 lengths. In the Irish Oaks Minnie Hauk tracked the leaders making progress into 2nd a furlong out, the 2/11 favourite led in the final 150 yards keeping on well to beat Wemighttakedlongway by 1 1/4 lengths.
There are 8 more races at The Curragh on Sunday with 2 highlights.
2.30: Al Shira'aa Racing Meadow Court Stakes (Group 3)
2: One Look: A decent horse who continued her good form when winning the Park Express Stakes on reappearance in April. She followed that up with a good 2nd in a Group 2 on this course a month later, her run at Royal Ascot can be discounted and with this longer trip and the ground expected to suit she can return to winning ways here.
3.40: Romanised Minstrel Stakes (Group 2)
3: Diego Velazquez: A good horse who ended last season with 2 group wins at Leopardstown taking the Meld Stakes by 7 lengths and the Solonaway by 1 1/2. He wasn't seen at his best at Royal Ascot on his return but he stands out here and should have too much for this field picking up a 5th career win.
