After a day off Irish racing returns on Monday with day 1 of the Galway Summer Festival where on a 7 race card 2 stand out.
5.10: Galway Bay Hotel & The Galmont Hotel Novice Hurdle.
7: Davy Crockett: A well-bred horse who impressed when winning on debut at Punchestown 51 days ago. He was 6th at halfway improving into 3rd entering the straight, he quickened to lead from a furlong out going clear and easily coming home by 9 lengths. He is an exciting prospect and can follow up here on his 1st hurdles start.
6.40: Connacht Hotel (Q.R.) Handicap.
9: Too Bossy For Us: A useful horse on the flat when trained in the UK who made a promising start for Willie Mullins in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. He didn't build on that in a Grade 1 at Punchestown but did get back on track with an excellent 2nd at The Curragh a month ago. He can improve further and open his Irish account here.
