Monday's winner at Galway was Davy Crockett. The 1/2 favourite travelled well sitting 2nd entering the straight, he led at the last staying on strongly and comfortably beating Mick Collins by 2 1/2 lengths. In the other race Too Bossy For Us was 12th in a contest won by Fliey Bay who beat Mon Coeur by 4 3/4 lengths.
It's day 2 at Galway on Tuesday with a 7 race card and 2 highlights.
5.05: Colm Quinn BMW Novice Hurdle.
8: La Note Verte: A decent horse who made it 2 from 2 in this sphere when winning at Roscommon 22 days ago. She led from the 2nd going clear 3 out and easily coming home by 12 lengths. Her yard has an excellent record in this race and this improving mare can continue that here with a 3rd hurdles win.
6.40: Colm Quinn BMW Mile Handicap.
7: Slieve Binnian: A good horse who got back to winning ways at The Curragh last month following up with victory at Leopardstown 19 days ago. He made headway from a furlong out leading in the final 150 yards and comfortably beating Booyea by 1 3/4 lengths. Despite a weight rise another fine run is expected and he can complete a hat-trick here.
